Graduate Programs & Resources

For many undergraduate students the future includes graduate school. Caring for the medically underserved is a special focus for the Baylor graduate program. Among the tracks are programs to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, with unique emphasis on global and domestic missions; a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Nurse-Midwife.

The 2019 U.S. News & World Report ranked Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing (LHSON) in their 2019 Best Graduate Schools. LHSON's Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program ranked No. 54. In addition, LHSON’s Nurse-Midwifery program was ranked No. 10 nationally under the health disciplines category, which was last ranked in 2016. LHSON's online MSN in Nursing Leadership and Innovation was ranked No. 39 of the Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs.

LHSON also offers an online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Leadership and Innovation program, as well as Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs to include: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Nurse-Midwifery (NM), Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP). We also offer a separate Doctor of Nursing Practice - Executive Nurse Leadership (DNP-ENL) degree. In addition we offer the U.S. Army Graduate Program in Anesthesia Nursing.
