2020 Outstanding Staff Award Winner
Assistant Director of Multicultural Affairs for Student Development in Student Life
7 Years of Service at Baylor
Geoffrey’s efforts for student community engagement on campus is phenomenal. He tirelessly works to bring positive attention to the University. For example, he was instrumental in helping to host the Big XII Conference on Black Student Government for the first time in Baylor history where over 650 students, faculty, and staff from around the country came to experience Baylor. He also supported the beginning of the minority male group M.I.S.T.E.R. on campus which stands for Males Inspiring Success Through Education and Relationship. He often advocates for policies, process, and experiences that take the perspective of underrepresented student needs into consideration. Geoffrey is a great example of holding others accountable while extending grace.
One colleague said in their nomination, “He models for the students like none I have ever seen on this campus as he shows them how to be successful.”
Thank you, Geoffrey, for being an Outstanding staff member!
