Premium Holiday - December 2019

All benefits-eligible Baylor employees will enjoy a premium "holiday" during December 2019 - a one-time only event - as no insurance premiums from designated categories as outlined below will be deducted from paychecks as we transition to a "Pay As You Go" premium payment structure. Your coverage will remain the same through December 2019 since premiums for December will be deducted from your November paycheck on the current "Pre-Pay" premium payment structure. Beginning January 1, 2020, your new elections and premium payment schedule will begin.

In order to assist the University in this transition to "Pay As You Go" schedule instead of the current "Pre-Pay" schedule, there will be no premium deduction from your paycheck for insurance coverages for the month of December 2019. This will be a one-time only event due to the University transitioning to the new premium payment schedule.

The December Premium "Holiday" will be reflected on the following paychecks:

  • BI-WEEKLY - December 6, 2019 & December 20, 2019
  • MONTHLY - December 20, 2019
