How to Apply

The Honors College is comprised of two programs, the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core (BIC) and the Honors Program, and two majors, Great Texts and University Scholars. Your entrance into the Honors College is by way of one of these four programs and majors. CLICK HERE to learn more about our programs and majors.

The Honors College seeks academically driven and ambitious students, and utilizes a holistic student review process and considers all application materials that are available. Students are welcome to apply test-optional to Baylor University and the Honors College. CLICK HERE to learn more about Baylor's test-optional status.

For information about applying to Baylor University, go to Baylor Admissions. When applying through the goBAYLOR application, be sure to select interest in the Honors College (under Academic Plans) to receive more information about the programs/majors before you apply to the Honors College.

 A prospective student may apply to one or more of the Honors College programs/majors through the Honors College application in their goBAYLOR account. If you applied through the Common App or Apply Texas, create a goBaylor account and log in to find more information about the Honors College application. Applications for the Honors College open  October 1.

Living in the Honors Residential College:

After admission to an Honors College program, students are classified as an Honors College student. Applicants are encouraged to apply to our programs and to the Honors Residential College (HRC) simultaneously. Admission to the HRC is competitive, so apply early! You may access the online HRC application on the HRC Website.
