Dr. Beth Allison Barr
My research interests center on the relationship between women and the Church in late medieval England. My work specifically looks at representations of women on pilgrimage in late medieval English sermons and their influence on expressions of female piety.
B.A. in History, Baylor University, 2016.
Outstanding Senior History Major (2016), President’s Gold Scholarship (2012-2016), Baylor Student Foundation Scholarship (2013-2014).
I have been a member of the Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society since 2014. This summer I participated in the Digital Scholars Program which allowed me to use digital tools to analyze a corpus of letters from a Baylor student from the late nineteenth century and create a website to provide context for and display my research. I currently work as a Graduate Assistant at The Texas Collection.
