Psychiatry Services

Often individual and group counseling can provide an effective treatment for managing mental health concerns, but sometimes medication and psychiatric services may be beneficial. BUHS  Psychiatrist and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner are available by referral from the Baylor Counseling Center or the Baylor Health Center.  The following services are offered:

• Psychiatric evaluations
• Prescribing of medications and medication management
• Comprehensive treatment planning
• Coordination of care/consultation with other professionals

Psychiatric Services are provided by one full time Psychiatrist, who is a licensed physician certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. And one full time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner verified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Letters for support/comfort animals are not available through the Health Center.

Psychiatry Services does not provide testing for ADHD
