    Why Baylor?

    • I decided to attend Army-Baylor University because I wanted to advance in my career as a nurse. I researched the program and was amazed to find out the military offering such a wonderful benefit to civilians. I hope to use the knowledge I gain to continue my work with the military especially given the unique challenges we face on a daily basis.

    Outside Interests

    • Outside of school, my family is my main driver for fun and activities. I enjoy taking my two boys out on mini adventures in Texas; my pet Rambo is another source of enjoyment but also arts and crafts, reading, dancing and trying new restaurants.

    Why Baylor?

    • Why not Army-Baylor?!? The esteemed reputation and the high caliber quality of this program is reinforced by its top 10 ranking of MHA programs in the nation. The rich experiences that fellow students share as seasoned officers from various areas such as nursing, logistics, pharmacy, PT, patient advocates, healthcare administration, IT, aviation, finance, and medical providers are biggest asset for this program. Currently, there are 9 Army-Baylor alumni who are serving as VA Medical Center Directors. This is a challenging program and a great opportunity to achieve a dual masters degree in 2 years. Also, whether you have a strong medical or educational background, or not, this program builds in such a way that you will succeed!

    Outside Interests

    • I enjoy bowling, cooking vegetarian meals, and taking my dog (Ellie) to the dog park. I usually go camping and explore the outdoors over several weekends out of the summer.

    Why Baylor?

    • Easy. Where else do you have access to a cohort of clinicians, administrative professionals, and medical specialists from all branches of service in an academic setting that leverages leaders and best practices from across the Military and civilian health systems? Nowhere but Baylor. I had zero MHS experience coming into the Army Baylor program. I am very confident that I will leave this program ready to take on the challenges that the MHS and U.S. healthcare system face now and in the future.

    Outside Interests

    • God, family, running, hockey, military history.

    • Exercising (jogging, reformer Pilates, weightlifting) to support my "foodie" lifestyle.
