How to Have a Successful Career in Academic Administration Dates:  Tuesday, April 26, 2022, 4:00-5:15 PM Structure:  In-Person Workshop in Graduate Research Center Listen to Baylor University Provost Dr. Nancy Brickhouse discuss how to have a successful career in academic administration, including her own personal story, the difference between a faculty role versus an administrative role, perspectives from a female experience, the daily work of an administrator, and career advice. This will be done in an interview format with Dr. Beth Allison Barr, with a Q&A period at the end if time allows.

Listen to Baylor University Provost Dr. Nancy Brickhouse discuss how to have a successful career in academic administration, including her own personal story, the difference between a faculty role versus an administrative role, perspectives from a female experience, the daily work of an administrator, and career advice.  This will be done in an interview format with Dr. Beth Allison Barr, with a Q&A period at the end if time allows. 

This workshop will be held in the Graduate Research Center on the 2nd floor of Poage Library, in between Moody and Jones.

Buzzademia is a term used to define scholarship in the internet vernacular. This workshop will introduce you to thinking about creative assignments you can add to your course syllabus to engage students in meaningful work that provides the opportunity for creative expression through digital media and critical engagement with the learning goals and objectives of your course. After this workshop you will: •	Be aware of the various practices, tools, and platforms in digital media that you can incorporate into your assignments. •	Have at least one assignment idea for incorporating creative digital media in your course. •	Develop a framework for building out an assignment rubric that allows for creative student work and a meaningful assessment of learning objectives that you've set out to measure. •	Understand the services offered in the Experiential Learning Commons that you can utilize to fulfil the learning objectives of your assignment(s). This workshop is intended for faculty/graduate students developing assignments for courses.   The dates of the upcoming workshops are: Tuesday, March 29 12pm-1pm Thursday, April 7 9am-10am Wednesday, April 13 12pm-1pm Thursday, April 21 3pm-4pm Wednesday, April 27 3pm-4pm  Click link to register.
