Next Steps

Next Fulbright Steps

If you are interested in learning more about the Fulbright, here are a few initial next steps to take:

1. Begin by watching these videos from the Fulbright website. The first video offers a general overview of the Fulbright US Student Program, the second considers the Study/Research award, and fourth talks about the English Teaching Assistant award (you can skip the third video for now). All three short videos offer helpful information about the Fulbright.

2. You will also want to explore the Fulbright site. It has a wealth of information about the awards. Important information in the dropdown menus at the top of the page include eligibility requirements, award benefits, countries you can apply to, the types of awards you can apply for, and the application components. You may also want to look at the statistics link at the bottom of the page, which lists the statistics from the last three award cycles.

3. After completing the first two steps, contact Dr. Daniel Benyousky (, one of Baylor's Fulbright Program Advisors, to express your interest in the Fulbright. Though we begin working with applicants in the spring, if you do not hear about the Fulbright until later, please do not hesitate to email us. We will gladly work with you to get up to speed. Also, if you are a freshman, sophomore, graduate student, or alum that would like to apply in a future cycle, do not hesitate to contact us. We are delighted to talk with you about the Fulbright at any point in your time at Baylor or if you have already graduated.
