UPDATE: Baylor University Postpones University-sponsored Travel to South Korea

WACO, Texas (Feb. 26, 2020) - On Feb. 24, 2020, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued Level 3 Warning, Avoid Nonessential Travel, regarding travel to South Korea, due to an ongoing outbreak of a respiratory illness caused by the COVID-19 virus that can be spread from person to person.

In accordance with global safety and security best practices and United States Department of State and CDC guidance, Baylor University-sponsored travel to South Korea is temporarily postponed until further notice.

Travel restrictions for Baylor University travel to China continue at this time. All other international travel continues to run as scheduled. Baylor University will continue to monitor the situation globally and domestically.

In addition, all Baylor University-sponsored travel for faculty, staff and students needs to be registered with the Center for Global Engagement. More information about travel registration is available on the Center for Global Engagement’s website.
