Up to the Task

Riley Smith is not afraid to take risks and is always up for a challenge. Coming from North Carolina, he was the only student in his class to go out-of-state for college. Spurred on by his childhood dream to play sports for a college team, he tried out for the baseball and football teams at Baylor. Although he didn’t make the teams, he had pushed himself outside of his comfort zone and given his best shot. He is now a part of the Bear Pit Leadership Team, the student section at basketball games, responsible for hosting watch parties and planning promotional giveaways. Through his time on the team, he has learned a lot about planning, preparation and coordinating resources.

He has also learned a lot in the ProSales classroom. In sales, procrastination is your enemy and ProSales has taught him how to manage his time and be self-motivated. The program has equipped him with tools to perform at a high level within the business world, tools he was able to use to overcome the various challenges he faced during his summer internships at SAS and Jarchem.

Sales allows Riley to use his creativity, critical thinking and people skills to design impactful business solutions for his customers. In this way, Riley is up to the task to pursue his passion for helping others.
