Wendy Dobson is a professor of economics in the Rotman School of Management and the director of the Institute for International Business at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on economic integration in North America, the international financial system, regional and global governance, and Canadian public policy issues. She was previously Associate Deputy Minister of Finance in Ottawa and president of the C.D. Howe Institute. Dobson has a B.S. in nursing from the University of British Columbia, masters degrees from the Kennedy School of Government and Harvard School of Public Health at Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in economics at Princeton University. She is Vice Chair of the Canadian Public Accountability Board and serves on a Council on Foreign Relations Trinational Task Force on the Future of North America.
