"Sisterhood" was more than just a word to me. It was a way of life. It was the sole motivator for me to do all in my power to make this facility a reality. I truly believe this building, with it's awesome facilities, will quickly become a way of life. A great way of life!

My sincere hope is that all Baylor women who pass through these halls will be similarly blessed as I, with the lasting support and friendships that I developed through my sorority experiences at Baylor University.

For over 20 years, Baylor has needed a place for Greek life to come together, both in efforts to unify the Panhellenic system and provide relief for the current meeting space issues on campus.

After 18 months of construction, the $5.5 million facility has arrived. The two-story, 51,000-square-foot building contains nine sorority suites/meeting rooms, a computer lab available to all students, a chapel and prayer room, a Panhellenic office and an apartment for the resident manager. It's located on the south side of the Baylor campus behind Harrington House on Ninth Street and Baylor Avenue.

President Robert Sloan said that while the Forum will help sororities on campus, the benefits of its construction such as meeting space needs and beautifying the campus will be felt campuswide. "There's a certain domino effect of space that's created," he said. "Because we have this dedicated space, it liberates other areas in a way that will truly help the entire University."

The Riddle Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization, based in Houston, dedicated to providing financial aid and assistance to a wide range of causes. Although the Foundation concentrates its philanthropy on providing college scholarships to underprivileged high school graduates, it has given several million dollars to various new construction efforts at Baylor, the largest recipient of foundation contributions.
