Wednesday 10/24 at 3pm at the Bobo

Location: Kumasi, Ghana is the primary location but we will also spend a limited amount of time in the capitol of Accra and our debrief time is at the Cape Coast.

Dates: May 19-June 2, 2013

About this Team: Our primary focus is working with children.

In the mornings we will go into schools and teach basketball. This is a wonderful time to learn the stories of children, to share a bit of your story, and share the love of God!

In the afternoons we will go to All Nations Charity Home where we help teach in their school, read with the children, play lots of games, play lots of soccer, and do a miniature "VBS." We also try to do some special things like make popcorn and watch a movie and cook a special meal.

There is also an informal educational component to this trip. We will do things like visit a cultural market, visit a tribal palace museum, and tour a slave castle museum.

We will also get to try lots of exciting and unique foods, experience local culture, and attend a local church service.

This trip is open to all majors, both undergraduate, graduate, or Truett Seminary students. No basketball or teaching experience is required but it is helpful. We would love a balance of both guys and girls to participate on this trip.

Approximate Cost: $3500
