The oldest tradition in American higher education and at Baylor University is chapel. The need for members of an academic community to come together to focus on the God who made them and the universe in which they live and study has not changed.
When Baylor was founded by Baptists in 1845, chapel was a part of life for students and faculty alike. Chapel provides an opportunity for students and faculty to gather on Mondays and Wednesdays at 9:05, 10:10 & 11:15 in Waco Hall to hear from people who excel at what they do as an expression of their commitment to Christ.
