“Paul Foster is the answer to why teaching at Baylor is so gratifying. The students! Paul came to Baylor as an undergraduate invested in learning as a tool for impact beyond the Baylor classroom. I could see from the beginning that his passion for knowledge and helping others would positively influence the future of many students with exceptional learning needs. Paul, even as an undergraduate special education student, showed sparks of embodying the meaning of the School of Education's motto: ‘Preparing Leaders – Impacting the World – Shaping the Future.’ Teaching him was my privilege.”

Dr. Tom Proctor, Retired Professor
Department of Educational Psychology
Baylor University School of Education

“I had Paul Foster as an undergraduate student in several classes, including those involving practicum experiences. His strengths were his gentle, caring manner and his ability to apply and generalize strategies for teaching students with various disabilities. After Paul taught for several years, I had the opportunity to observe him again as the special education teacher at Baylor University's first professional development school, mentoring undergraduate special education students. It was a special joy to see Paul use what he had learned to become a teacher of teachers. Most recently, he has taken the strengths I saw when he was an undergraduate student to now develop programs for students with various disabilities.”

Pat Arredondo, Coordinator of Undergraduate Special Education
