Philosophy of Teaching
Being an educator is a calling for me. I consider it an opportunity to meet and connect with students and their families in this worthy endeavor. We cannot accept mediocrity in learning, but must work toward helping each student fulfill his/her potential.

Research Interests
My research/scholarship grows from my interests in children's and adolescent literature, library science, and education. I love the process of research and writing.
