Rachel Scalzo, M.S.W.
Rachel Scalzo is from Baldwinsville, New York. She earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Siena College and a master's degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University. Professionally, Rachel worked with children and families impacted by disabilities and decided to return to school to earn her BCBA and PhD at Baylor, not only because of the better weather in Waco, but also the opportunity to volunteer with kids at the BARC under the supervision of talented, knowledgeable mentors.
Jayden ConteJayden's hometown is Granbury, Texas. She received a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience at Baylor University. Jayden is currently pursuing a master's degree in Educational Psychology in hopes to become a BCBA.Her younger brother is on the spectrum for autism, which is what sparked her passion to work with children with learning and developmental delays.
Lillie DukesLillie is from Columbia, South Carolina. She received a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in American Sign Language from Clemson University in May 2014. During her final semester at Clemson, Lillie worked as an aid in Special Education classroom in her local school district and decided to pursue a career working with individuals with special needs. Lillie is currently pursuing her master's degree in Educational Psychology at Baylor and ultimately would like to become a BCBA .
Jessica WalkerJessica is a second year School Psychology student from Columbus, Goergia. In December of 2012, she earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Mercer University. Currently, Jessica is pursuing her Educational Specialist degree and also hopes to become a BCBA .
Samantha AckardSami is from Columbus, Ohio. She received a bachelor's degree in Psychology at Miami University with a minor in Spanish. Sami is currently pursuing her education specialist degree in School Psuchology with hopes of becoming a Licensed Specialist in Schoil Psychology here in Texas. Currently, Sami also works at the Paul L. Foster Success Center as an academic mentor for Baylor's undergraduate students .
Natalie ChipinskiNatalie is from Sugar Land, Texas. She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University. She is currently pursuing an Education Specialist degree in hopes of becoming a school psychologist. Natalie is passionate about working with children and has a special interest in learning about Autism Spectrum Disorders .
Emily ByrdEmily is from San Antonio, Texas. She earned a bachelor's degree in Elementally Education from the University of Texas at Austin. Emily is currently pursuing a specialist's degree in School Psychology at Baylor University, in hopes of becoming a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. Emily is also working toward becoming a BCBA. She has always loved working with children. As as undergraduate, Emily studies general education, but became very interested in special education, and that is what sparked her interest in the School Psychology and ABA programs at Baylor .
Kaitlyn LeseterKaitlyn's hometown is Spring, Texas. She received a bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology at Baylor University. Kaitlyn ia currently pursuing a master's degree in Educational Psychology-Applied Behavior Analysis inhopes to becaome a BCBA .
Dana LeeperDana is originally from Natchitoches, LA. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is currently working on her Educational Specialist Degree in pursuit of becoming a school psychologist as well as obtaining her BCBA certification. She is interested in the development of children with and without disabilities and ensuring those with disabilities are afforded the same opportunities .
Kristina BowerKristina is from Waco, Texas. She received her bachelor's degree in All Level Special Education from the University of Texas at Austin. After teaching special education in Austin, she decided to move home and pursue a master's degree in Educational Psychology in order to become a BCBA.
Tasia BraffordTasia has moved all around the world as a child in a military family, but claims Albany, New York as her hometown. She earned a bachelor's degree in Childhood and Special Education with a concentration in Mathmatics from The College of Saint Rose in Albany.Tasia is currently working on her master's degree in Educational Psychology while continuing her life-long dream of being a special education teacher.
Meg SolomonMeg is originally from Temple, Texas.She attended undergrad at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Music.After college, Meg moved to Los Angeles, California.She worked as a Behavior Interventionist with children with autism in the home and the general education classroom setting.Meg was incredibly excited to come back to Texas to attend Baylor in pursuit of her Masters in Educational Psychology in hopes of becoming a BCBA.In her spare time, she enjlys cooking and camping with her husband and going for hikes with her dog, Winston.
Priya GianchandaniPriya is from Laredo, Texas.She earned her bachelor's degree in Communication with a minor in Criminal Justice from Texas A&M International University.She is also a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant.Priya is currently pursuing her Master's in Educational Psychology in hopes of becoming a BCBA.SHe is working as a Graduate Assistant at Baylor University.
Allen MomAllen is from Colleyville, Texas.He earned a bachelor's degree is Psychology from Baylor University.Allen is currently pursuing an education specialist degree in school psychology and hopes to become a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and a BCBA.He has previously worked in youth ministry for several years and at residential summer camps for students with developmental disabilities wwhich inspired him, not only to pursue higher education, but also continue acquiring valuable experience working with kids at CARE under the supervision of talented and knowledgeable mentors.
