Program Options

All-Level Special Education This program prepares a candidate to teach only students with exceptional learning needs from early childhood through twelfth grade. Field experiences focus on students with varying levels of disability ranging from mild to severe.

The Texas certificate affiliated with this program is called Special Education EC-12.

Elementary EC-6 with Special Education Supplemental (i.e., Dual Program) This program is a supplement to the Elementary Teacher Program (Early Childhood – 6th). This program prepares candidates to teach both general education elementary students and special education students. Field experiences focus on students with mild disabilities.

The Texas certificate affiliated with this program is called Special Education Supplemental.
