Monitors around the room lit up as the students in Baylor’s LEAD program showed off their semester’s work through electronic portfolios. The LEAD Celebration event was Dec. 2 on the fifth floor of Cashion Academic Center. Baylor’s School of Education offers the Introduction to Leadership class and also offers a leadership minor through the Department of Educational Administration. The presentation allowed the students a chance to showcase their leadership journey through this semester.
SOE Students Share Christmas Cheer
Baylor School of Education assistant professor Dr. Lakia Scott and students in her Elementary Literacy Education classes created book bags for the children Mission Waco serves as Christmas gifts. Each Baylor student donated a book with a multi-cultural theme, and Dr. Scott contributed the bags. Then they got together to decorate each bag to match the book’s theme and later delivered them to Mission Waco. Watch the video by clicking the "read more" link.

Talbert and SOE doctoral student Jason Trumble have written an editorial about it for the Hechinger Report. Read it by clicking below.
