Dr. Tyler Cooper, CEO of Cooper Aerobics, to give Fall 2014 Distinguished Lector for School of Education
The rising cost of health care in the United States affects not just individuals, but also the functionality of the economy and government, according to Dr. Tyler Cooper, CEO of Cooper Aerobics in Dallas. Cooper will speak at Baylor University on Thursday, Oct. 30, as part of the Distinguished Lecture Series of the Baylor School of Education. A graduate of the Hankamer School of Business, Cooper is on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the School of Education.

SOE Grad Wins AATC Honor for Dissertation
Baylor School of Education graduate Dr. Jessica Meehan won the 2014 John Laska Distinguished Dissertation Award in Teaching from the American Association for Teaching and Curriculum (AATC) for her work done in the School of Education. Meehan received her MSEd in 2008 and her EdD in 2013 in Curriculum & Instruction.
SOE Hosts Annual GT Conference for Educators
Baylor University School of Education’s Center for Community Learning and Enrichment hosted the annual GT Conference on Saturday, Oct. 4, in the Cashion Academic Center on the Baylor campus. More than 190 educators, administrators, and students attended the event. The conference featured local and national speakers in the field of gifted education.
Dept. of Educational Administration Hosts Area Administrators
More than 80 area K-12 school administrators attended the annual Administrators Appreciation Day, hosted by the School of Education's Department of Educational Administration. The main purpose of the event is to provide a well deserved “thank you” for area administrators, said the SOE's Dr. Mary Ann Jordan, BA ’70, program director for the Principal Certification Preparation Program.
