James Ellor, director of the Center for Gerontological Studies, has been selected as a co-recipient of the American Society on Aging's 2007 Inaugural Forum on Religion, Spirituality and Aging Award.
The award is given to an outstanding individual or organization who has demonstrated continued excellence and leadership in direct or indirect service to the religious and spiritual needs of older adults and their families, and who has had a profound and lasting impact on the religious and spiritual concerns of older adults, through practice, teaching, research, advocacy or policy planning, according to the society's Web site.
The presentation will be made in March in Chicago.
