Recommendations

  1. Supervisor Reference: Endorsement by the director or supervisor of the organization with which the applicant is affiliated on a full-time basis, indicating organization's plans for future usefulness of the candidate for ministry in his/her organization. (The supervisor reference is #1 on this form).

    The supervisor reference should be:
    • Someone who knows the applicant, the applicant's character, and the applicant's work performance in a thorough way
    • Someone who can endorse the applicant's educational goals and who will be a contact for the applicant if he/she were to enter one or more of these Master's programs
    • Someone with or for whom the applicant might work in the future with ministry endeavors
    • This person must also complete Form I-E as well as Form I-G&C and Form I-In

  2. Pastoral Reference: Recommendation by a pastoral reference within the applicant's local church who can speak to the applicant's character, educational goals, and personal capacity. (The pastoral reference is #2 on this form).
    • This person must also complete Form I-R as well as Form I-G&C
