Agency Mission/Services:
The Family Abuse Center exists to eliminate domestic violence in Central Texas by sheltering victims, and by preventing abuse from occurring through intervention and education. Services provided are case management, legal advocacy, counseling, support groups, and other intervention services to adult and child survivors of domestic violence.

Opportunities and Time Schedules:
Baccalaureate/MSW Foundation: Case management, children's group, advocacy, crisis intervention, education and education groups, group co-facilitation, occasional grant-writing, some macro opportunities

MSW Concentration: Case management, children's group, advocacy, crisis intervention, education and education groups, group co-facilitation, counseling, adult and child therapeutic interventions, training and coaching of lower-level interns.

Desired Qualifications:
Good sense of self and ability to maintain healthy boundaries. Ability to deal with crisis situations well and manage good self-care. Honest, respectful, and hard-working.

Agency Hours:
Administrative offices 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; 24 hour shelter.
