The Program Director of the Science & Health Living-Learning Center in Earle Hall is the coordinator for the LLC admissions process along with academic and social programming. The Program Director serves as the staff advisor for the Leadership Council, providing guidance through mentoring, training, and logistical support.
About Dr. Rizalia Klausmeyer
Rizalia Klausmeyer was born in Puerto Rico to Victor and Maria Buonomo. She received a B.S. in Chemistry, Magna Cum Laude, in 1991 from the University of Puerto Rico and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Texas A&M University, College Station, in 1996. After an industrial postdoc at Rohm and Haas, she started her teaching career at the University of Illinois, in Urbana-Champaign, as Director of the Freshmen Laboratories. Her Baylor career started in 2000 as a lecturer and was made senior lecturer in 2007. In 2013 she accepted a new position as Associate Director of Prehealth Studies and Program Director of the Science and Health LLC.
She met her husband, Kevin Klausmeyer, while at Texas A&M University. They have three daughters; Margaret , Elizabeth, and Gracie. On her free time she is serves as editor of the chemistry board of MERLOT, the Multimedia Educational Resources for Learning and Online Teaching.
