In today's world, it is imperative that colleges and universities prepare for emergency communication and emergency response ranging from localized minor incidents to larger scale incidents such as those recently reported by the news media. In order to enhance Baylor University's overall crisis communication plan and response, the Risk Management Department has initiated a focused effort to communicate emergency preparedness and crisis management information to the campus community.

You may already be aware of the implementation of Baylor's Emergency and Response System (BEARS) - Connect ED service providing Baylor with enhanced university-to-student emergency communication capabilities. In the coming weeks and months, this webpage will be populated with more information about BEARS, Baylor's Crisis Management Plan, alternative emergency communication modes and other important information.
