AHFRP funds are primarily designed to stimulate research and creative activities and promote the strategic plans of the arts, fine arts, humanities, and education graduate research programs.
Award amounts are contingent upon need; however, few awards will exceed $2000. Faculty in need of additional funding should consider applying to the University Research Committee.
All full-time faculty regardless of academic rank may apply. Projects may not be under consideration or currently funded by the University Research Committee (URC) at the time of application, and only one application per project may be processed at any one time.
AHFRP proposals are accepted once per semester. The next application cycle will be during the spring 2015 term with proposals due by 12:00 pm (noon) on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 for funding during FY 2016.
Limited program funds preclude continuous or long-term funding of an individual research agenda. Arts & Humanities Faculty Research Program funding for any principal investigator is limited to no more than $4,000 over five fiscal years.
The Arts & Humanities program should not be used as a substitute for the URC or other funding programs. Click here for more information on the URC grant program.
