Dr. John Wolfe Accepts Tenure-Track Position

April 4, 2014

John Wolfe has accepted a tenure track position at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah. The school, formerly a two year junior college, recently became a university and currently has a “humanities department” that includes foreign language, English, history, and philosophy. John will be the only philosopher in the program. John reports that the school is expanding to a full university, and is actively trying to expand its programs. The good news is that John will be on the ground floor of a program that is looking to expand, and possibly develop majors and minors.

John graduated in August 2008 with his Ph.D. Dean Tom Hibbs directed his dissertation on Saint Augustine. He has served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, since August of 2009.
