Logan Gage accepts a position at Franciscan University of Steubenville

March 21, 2014

Dr. Michael Beaty, chair of the department of philosophy, is pleased to announce that Logan Gage has accepted a new position as Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Steubenville, Ohio. He will join the Department of Philosophy beginning in August 2014.

Logan will primarily be charged with teaching the philosophy component of Franciscan's new and exciting Core Curriculum. "This is a thrilling opportunity, as Franciscan has an exciting vision," Gage said. "Franciscan is serious about putting philosophy and theology requirements at the center of a Catholic university education. Each student is required to take three philosophy classes: Foundations of Ethics, Philosophy of the Human Person, and Metaphysics. I could not be more excited to help institute this vision."

Franciscan University of Steubenville is a passionately Catholic liberal arts university founded and operated by members of the Third Order Regular Franciscan Brothers since 1946. It is deeply committed to the Catholic faith and cultural renewal in the Catholic community and beyond.

Logan will receive the Ph.D. in Philosophy from Baylor in August 2014.
