Katie Edwards
Katie Robinson Edwards, Ph.D.
Katie Robinson Edwards teaches Modern and Contemporary Art at the Allbritton Art Institute at Baylor University. She earned the BA degree from Occidental College and the MA and PhD from the University of Texas at Austin. Her areas of research relate to the New York School and mid-century Texas modernism.
Dr. Robinson Edwards authored an essay for Karl Umlauf's retrospective at the Fort Worth Art Center in June 2008. As a fellow at Baylor's Institute for Oral History and additional support from CASETA (Center for the Advancement of Early Texas Art), she is conducting audio and video interviews with living artists who worked abstractly in Texas in the 1950s and 1960s.
