Applied Study

Applied study focuses on developing each student's musical and technical capabilities through daily regimen, etudes, solo repertoire, orchestral excerpts and pedagogical elements that are included in the individual lessons.

Each music major woodwind student studies with the master teacher in weekly individual lessons, studio classes, plus extra help sessions such as reed making. The skills learned in the applied lessons culminate in the required degree recitals.
