Baylor Opera Theater

Established in the early 1940's, the BAYLOR OPERA has a long history of excellence in opera production and training. The Opera Theater currently produces one major work with orchestra as well as various performances of opera scenes.

Historically, major productions have usually been performed in English and are double cast to allow for maximum involvement of qualified student singers. Following the trend in the profession, future productions will be performed in the original language with sir-titles when appropriate.

Recent productions of the Baylor Opera Theater include: Falstaff, Die Fledermaus, Don Giovanni, La Boheme, The Barber of Seville, The Crucible, The Elixir of Love, The Marriage of Figaro, and The Gondoliers.
