String study at Baylor is focused on the development of skills in solo performance, orchestral studies, and chamber music. A full-time resident faculty is committed to mentoring students through intensive applied study to help each individual gain the technical, musical, and interpretive skills to become a successful professional upon graduation.
The string department continues a long tradition of dedication to the study of chamber music, with faculty coaches providing weekly coachings to student groups. Alumni of Baylor hold prominent positions in professional orchestras, chamber groups, and at universities, colleges, and high schools throughout the country.
