Francesca Arnone is Assistant Professor of Flute at Baylor University, having taught previously at West Virginia University and Boise State University. She has over 20 years of regional orchestral experience performing in the United States and Mexico, including serving as Principal Flute of the Boise Philharmonic and the Waco Symphony. She earned degrees at the Oberlin and San Francisco Conservatories, and the University of Miami (DMA). Active in the National Flute Association, she has served on both the Executive and Editorial boards. Arnone has performed at conventions of the British, Spanish, and Costa Rican Flute societies; numerous NFA conventions, and has presented at many national and international music conferences. Arnone is an MSR and PARMA recording artist, an Altus Artist, enjoys reading and writing, and as a self-proclaimed “masterclass junkie," directs the Baylor Flute Seminars. She is a winner of the NFA Doctoral Dissertation and Convention Performers competitions, and was twice recognized by WVU for outstanding research.
