Dr. Eric Wilson
Director of Bands

Assuming leadership as Baylor University's new Director of Bands is J. ERIC WILSON, who joins the School of Music after serving for twelve years on the music faculty of Abilene Christian University. Dr. Wilson holds both a Doctor of Musical Arts degree (wind band conducting) and a Master of Music degree (saxophone performance and conducting) from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Abilene Christian University. Prior to his university appointment at ACU, Dr. Wilson taught in the Abilene, Hamlin and Midland public school systems and held a one-year sabbatical position at West Texas A&M University. ~ MORE...

Associate Director of Bands
Assistant Professor of Ensembles

Dr. ISAIAH ODAJIMA has joined the Baylor University music faculty as Assistant Professor of Ensembles and Associate Director of Bands. He returns to Baylor from Michigan State University, where for the past four years he has served as Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of Bands. From 2001 to 2003, Dr. Odajima was Baylor University's Assistant Director of Bands and Associate Director of the Golden Wave Marching Band. He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Wind Conducting from Michigan State University, a Master of Music degree in Wind Conducting from Baylor University, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Stephen F. Mr. Rick Espinosa
Assistant Director of Bands
Lecturer in Ensembles

Mr. RICK ESPINOSA has been named as the School of Music's Lecturer in Ensembles and Assistant Director of Bands. Prior to his appointment to the Baylor University faculty, he served for three years as teaching associate and graduate conductor of the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Brass Ensemble at UCLA, where he continues to pursue his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in wind conducting.
