Pastor of First Baptist Waco to Speak in Chapel-Forum Dec. 4

Dr. Scott Walker, pastor of First Baptist Church of Waco, will speak on Advent during Chapel-Forum at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, in Waco Hall on the campus of Baylor University.
Walker received his bachelor's degree from Mercer University in 1973, his master of divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1977 and his doctorate of education from the University of Georgia in 1983.
Walker has served on many committees and boards for foreign missions, as well as speaking at numerous college campuses and Baptist Student Unions across the country. He has been a visiting professor for Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary and adjunct professor for the religion department of Wingate College.
In addition to his missions work in the Philippines, Honduras, Liberia, Peru, Argentina and Ecuador, he has written five books and many articles and contributions to books.
He and his wife, Beth, have three children, Drew, Luke and Jodi.
