Baylor Releases Spring Enrollment Report

Baylor University has enrolled a total of 13,632 students for the spring 2010, with steady undergraduates retention rates, according to official 12th-day enrollment statistics compiled by the Office of Institutional Research and Testing (IRT).

The spring semester's enrollment consists of 11,271 undergraduates; 2,179 students in graduate/professional programs (Graduate School, Truett Seminary, Baylor Law School and School of Social Work); and 182 students enrolled in Baylor/U.S. Army affiliated degree programs. Last spring's total university enrollment was 13,664 students, Baylor's highest-ever spring enrollment.

According to IRT statistics, the retention rate for first-time freshmen increased to 94.6 percent, compared to 94.5 percent from fall 2009 to spring 2010. The retention rate for all undergraduates fell slightly to 95.1 percent, compared to 95.2 percent for the same period last year.
