High school seniors, transfer students and their parents will be on the Baylor University campus Jan. 30-31 for Winter Premiere, sponsored by the Baylor office of admission services.
Baylor's premiere events, which are held every fall, winter and spring, give prospective students and their families a chance to explore the Baylor campus, meet current students, professors and staff, and get questions answered about academics, financial aid, student activities and more. Baylor's Spring Premiere is scheduled for April 23-24.
Winter Premiere events begin Friday, Jan. 30, with an informal mixer for participants, current Baylor students and admissions services staff from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Bill Daniel Student Center. On Saturday, Jan. 31, information packets and a light breakfast will be available from 8:30 to 9 a.m. at Waco Hall, followed by a "Welcome to Baylor" opening session.
From 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., students will be able to "pick and choose" events, including tours of the campus, residence halls, McLane Student Life Center, labs and libraries; a student activities fair; a visit with the Baylor bear mascot; and special interest sessions on admissions, scholarships and financial aid, and study abroad programs. During the academic sessions, students will choose two fields of study and attend presentations by Baylor professors. The event will conclude at 4:30 p.m.
Late registration forms are available at Admission Services. There is no fee to attend, and the event includes a student lunch and T-shirt. Additional lunches may be purchased on Saturday morning for $7 each. A late registration table will be open at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at Waco Hall.
