Bill Cosby rallied more than 20,000 Baylor University students, faculty, staff and Central Texans during his free "Spirit Rally" Sept. 4 at Floyd Casey Stadium.
Cosby, who performed at Baylor in 1990 and 2002, called Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr. two weeks ago and offered to come do the rally free of charge to "lift the spirits of the Baylor and Central Texas communities" after a tragic and difficult summer.
"Over the years I have come to know some of the outstanding students, faculty and staff at Baylor...I want to let the world know what a great place this is."
