Jimmy Dorrell, director of Mission Waco, will speak at Chapel at 10 and 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, on the Baylor University campus.

A Baylor graduate, Dorrell is a past recipient of the Abner V. McCall Humanitarian Award, given to those who champion the causes of religious freedom and humanitarianism. Through Mission Waco, Dorrell and his staff have established thrift stores, a theater, tutoring programs, GED classes, computer labs and teen development programs for the community.

Dorrell organized Church Under the Bridge in 1992 under the umbrella of Mission Waco as a Bible study program geared toward homeless people. Church Under the Bridge, now its own entity, recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Chapel can be viewed live on the web at www.baylor.edu/um .
