Advanced Placement Institute To Be Held June 17-21

High school and middle school teachers of advanced placement and pre-AP courses can receive training in their various disciplines at Baylor University's Advanced Placement Institute June 17-21.
Co-sponsored by Baylor and the College Board, the institute will offer nine workshops, including biology, calculus AB, English language, English literature, U.S. history, English pre-AP for high school, English pre-AP for middle school, mathematics pre-AP for high school and mathematics pre-AP for middle school.
Successful educators who teach AP and pre-AP classes during the regular school year and who are trained and approved by the College Board will serve as instructors. Baylor faculty from various academic disciplines also will deliver special lectures.
The cost to attend is $410, and school districts can obtain reimbursement from the Texas Education Agency for each qualifying public high school AP teacher. For more information, contact Baylor's Office of Continuing Education at (254) 710-3550.
