Heritage Harvest Bonfire Planned For Nov. 14

November 13, 2000

Baylor University's Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village will celebrate the fall season with a Heritage Harvest Bonfire from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The event, which recreates activities that were popular in the 1890s, is appropriate for the entire family.
In addition to the bonfire, activities include a egg and spoon relay, a donut eating contest, the games king cotton and clown and ball and storytelling by Leslie Collier. Cowboy poet Sherrod Feldeen and Dick Gimbel and Friends also will perform. Hot chocolate and hot cider will be available for purchase.
Admission to the evening's entertainment is $3 for adults, $2 for senior citizens and $1 for children ages 6 to 16. Baylor faculty, staff, students and children under age 6 are admitted at no charge.
