Baylor Theatre Presents Season Finale April 12-19

April 6, 2000

On the Verge, Baylor Theatre's final show of the 1999-2000 season, will open Wednesday, April 12, in the Mabee Theater in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center on the Baylor University campus. Eric Overmeyer's fantasy story will run through April 19 with curtain times set for 7:30 p.m. April 12-15 and April 17-19 and 2:30 p.m. April 16.
The play follows the travels of three American women from the 1880s who set out to explore uncharted lands and soon discover they are time travelers to the 1950s.
"This production underscores the idea that everyday we are time travelers; that we pierce the membrane of time, process the past in the present and, in the blink of an eye, it's the future," said Deborah Mogford, lecturer in theater arts and director of the production.
On the Verge stars Chrissy Huth, a senior from Canyon Lake, as Mary; Barbara Bouman, a senior from San Diego, Calif., as Fanny; Haley Fuller, a senior from Birmingham, Ala., as Alex; and Scott Baker, a senior from Waco, as Man.
Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the Baylor Theatre box office or by calling 710-1865. Box office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
