Baylor to Host Kid-Fish at the Marina Dec. 11

Dec. 7, 1999

Baylor University will host a Kid-Fish from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at the Baylor Marina. The event benefits the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

The event is designed for children up to 16 years old. Approximately 25 game wardens and deputy sheriffs will assist the children with bait and the catching of fish. The portion of the marina to be used for the activity will stocked by the wardens and deputies.

"We provide hands-on experience for the kids. Kid-Fish also benefits the kids because the volunteers will help the kids fish well," said Chad Morgan, East Texas regional director of Kid-Fish.

Admission is free.
