Baylor Graduation Set for Dec. 19

Baylor University will confer degrees upon approximately 730 students during December commencement at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Ferrell Special Events Center.
Baylor President Dr. Robert B. Sloan Jr. will give the charge to the students, W. Fred Cameron, chairman of the Baylor Board of Regents, will bring greetings, and Dr. Harold Beaver, retired professor of geology, will be the bearer of the mace.
President Sloan will give a special tribute to Dr. Helen Ligon for meritorious service. Ligon, emeritus professor of information systems in the Hankamer School of Business, joined the Baylor faculty in 1958 as assistant professor of quantitative analysis.
