Sixth Annual Autumn Moon Festival Set for Oct. 3

Sept. 20, 1998

The Baylor Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) will host the sixth annual Autumn Moon Festival in the Barfield Drawing Room of Bill Daniel Student Center on Oct. 3, from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

This historical event began as a celebration of the annual harvest festival and was designed to thank God and pray for a successful year.

The events begin with a six-course meal of authentic Vietnamese food. There will be a program of entertainment starting at 7:30 with a special performance by the Vovinam, a Vietnamese martial arts group from Arlington. In addition, VSA members will perform cultural dances, skits and songs. The program concludes with lantern lighting.

Tickets are $12 for the show, including dinner, and $6 for the show only. VSA will sell tickets in the Student Center from Sept. 28 to Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
