The Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University will be producing a new radio segment that will air on KWBU-FM starting March 31. The weekly segment, Business Review, will feature business topics affecting the local Waco market as well as regional and statewide business issues.
"We think the Waco business community will be pleased to have more locally-oriented business topics on the radio," said Dr. Terry Maness, dean of the business school. "And, in conjunction with our local NPR affiliate station, KWBU, we think we are the logical organization to provide that."
Business Review will be included in the 7 a.m. newscast, following the 6:50 a.m. Marketplace Morning Report. KWBU-FM is located at 103.3 on the radio dial.
"Segment topics may include tax tips, stock picks, an interview with a local entrepreneur, or a conversation with the Texas Family Business of the Year," said C.J. Jackson, who will host the segment. "Our list of topics is extensive and varied."
Jackson is director of communications and marketing for the business school. She was previously a columnist for a regional business magazine in Florida and has several years experience in marketing and public relations for AT&T and NCR Corp.
In addition to being broadcast, Business Review also will be available online at www.baylor.edu/business and www.kwbu.org.
