Zambian Acapella to Appear in Chapel-Forum

March 25, 1998

The Zambian Acapella will perform in Chapel-Forum at 10 and 11 a.m. Monday, March 29, in Waco Hall on the Baylor University campus. Zambian Acapella is a choir of young African men currently touring the country. Their unique blend of African folk music, stage antics and a traditional Gospel message have inspired and captured the hearts of audiences worldwide.
The choir returns to Baylor after its last visit two years ago. "The students always really enjoy the choir. They are all very entertaining," said Sharon Laird, chaplain's office coordinator.
Their experience in growing up in a mission church has inspired these young men to have mission goals of their own. In America, they are building bridges of Christ's love through their music. In Africa, they are helping children grow to be adults with character through moral education. They will be sharing these and other messages at Baylor next week.
