All-University Sing Competition to Begin Feb. 20

WACO, Texas -- Baylor University will hold the 45th annual All-University Sing, a student musical production, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 20-21, and Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27-28, in Waco Hall. All performances will begin at 7 p.m.
A panel of judges from cheerleading, dance, theater and musical backgrounds will review the competing 18 acts. The acts will be judged the last three nights of the show by groups of four panelists each. The winners will be announced on the last night of the performances.
Three acts will be selected for first, second and third place, with the top eight acts performing at Baylor's annual Pigskin Revue during Homecoming week next fall. Each of the top eight acts receive a monetary prize of $1,000 to cover expenses. The first-place winner will receive a trophy inscribed with the names of the winners from 1953 to the present. This will be the first time a prize is given to the winner.
The acts will encompass both serious and fun themes, accompanied by various forms of music. Acts will be judged on their entertainment value, musical quality, creativity and choreography and theme development.
Tickets are $10 each for the general public and $8 each for students.
