Debbie Workman To Speak At Chapel-Forum Jan 28

January 27, 1998

Debbie Workman, creator of "Newtrition," will speak at 10 and 11 a.m. Wednesday at Baylor University's Chapel-Forum. Her program is sponsored by the Health Education and Wellness Office.
Workman will present "Tips from God on nurturing your temple." Workman focuses on some of the newer aspects of nutrition, as displayed in her "newtrition" program. She uses her knowledge of nutrition and exercise combined with Biblical principles to find a nutritional balance.
Workman has a master of science in exercise science and nutrition. She started out teaching housewives and athletes how to eat healthy meals. She now hosts healthy cooking and eating seminars.
She has planned nutritional programs for the Dallas Stars and the Atlanta Falcons, a sort of "food coach," according to Andrea King, a graduate student in the Health Education and Wellness office. She also works with professional groups such as the International Dance Exercise Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American Heart Association.
